The Flame Upon the Mountain

The Flame Upon the Mountain

The girl who believed in a world that forgot.
The Valley of Kildona once teemed with mythical creatures, or so the old stories say. No one believes in them anymore—no one except eleven-year-old Matilda, whose deepest desire is to find their hidden places. On Midsommar’s morning, her search leads her to a mysterious waterfall that will change her life and her valley forever.
When animals vanish and loved ones disappear, Matilda begins to fear that something ancient stirs beyond the waterfall. Desperate to uncover the truth before the missing are lost forever, she follows a trail that leads her into legend.
But an enemy older than the mountains has awakened, and it burns to devour her valley, her family, and all that she has ever known.
As storms gather on every side, Matilda must choose whether to flee from the darkness rising around her… or follow the light she alone can see—even if it costs her everything.

A new MG/YA epic fantasy series

The Flame Upon the Mountain is a beautiful fantasy set in a world steeped in epic myth and legend, a true hero story that celebrates courage, sacrifice, and the strength of community. This is far more than simple entertainment. It's a moving tale that reminds us that even the smallest hero can stand against the greatest darkness, and that no one ever stands alone.

A monster-in-the-house fantasy/sci-fi novel

fantasy

A whimsical fantasy about bravery, belonging, and a house that won’t shut up.

After losing his home, his academic standing, his job prospects, and his patience for being humiliated, Toven Fuz accepts a strange but promising offer: a caretaker position for a very old house on the outskirts of town. The pay is good, the rules are few, and for the first time in years, he finally has a place of his own.

But not everything is as it seems.

When Toven begins to hear voices, he fears he is losing his mind. However, faster than a teapot can dance the Merengue, Toven finds himself the reluctant master of a house-full of opinionated objects—and in the crosshairs of geological forces that could spell disaster for his coastal town and beyond.

To save his house, his town, and possibly the world, Toven must learn to trust the very last people he would ever choose as friends to overcome a threat too strange and terrible to ignore.
